Too Slick to Grind from Kabanjak off of Kabanjak meets Prottasov eases in nicely leading us to banging track from Spanky Wilson and the Quantic Soul Orchestra with Don't Joke with a Hungry Man. Shawn Lee gives us the first of two Organ tracks with Organ Grinder off of his Ping Pong Orchestra LP. Organ track number two is Organ Donor which is a live remake of DJ Shadow 'remix of Giorgio Moroder's Tears from the Lefties Soul Connection. Natural Self drops in with The Sound laying down some Afro funk where the Baker Brothers pickup with Piece of Mind. Wax Tailor teases us with some of the best MCs to ever pick up a mic. This next track was a limited time download from the Adult Swim site from Duo of Danger Mouse and MF Doom AKA Danger Doom. Next up it's another guy that never sleeps, Madlib, or should I say Sound Direction with Dice Game. Hey kids it's the funkiest group to ever come out of the 70s, no wait, you say it's a bunch of funky guys from Germany and they are making funky music today? The Poets of Rhythm have mystified listeners the world over ever since they laid down the funk. Cut Chemist cut loose from the J5 a while back and proves that the Audience is still listening. The Pan Atlantics are a side project of the afore mentioned Poets of Rhythm and they are laying down some serious funk. Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings tell us all that we need to be Genuine. Giorgio Moroder's Tears pokes it's head before we are blessed with Low End Theory's favorite James Brown groover - Fred Wesley and the JB's with I'm Payin Taxes But What Am I Buying. Without James and the JBs none of this would be possible. Rest in Peace
